Walking Zombies

We live like zombies. We wake up to carry out routines and habits. We go to sleep and only to wake up and do it again. Slowing down or doing nothing or being free seems like a shameful thing to even think about. Busyness is a sign of being productive and being successful.

Yet, have you ever paused and asked yourself these questions? Do you even dare to pause and seek for answers?

“I exist, but am I living?”

“I hear, but am I listening?”

“I look, but am I seeing?”

Sometimes we are so focused on what we want, we miss the things we need.

Trust the process

Did you know:

You can't upload love, you can't download time, and you can't Google all the answers in life?

All we need is to live our life and trust the process. Of course it is easier said than done. I know it is not easy, in fact, it is hard…

But hard is not impossible.

Who are you, truly?

To completely understand our needs, wants, and desires, we need to have a deep, instinctive wisdom of who we truly are. Not only do we need a deeper understanding, but we must also come out on the other side – loving, and caring for ourselves like we would a loved one.

Learn to love yourself

It is universal. We need love and support, while at the same time needing to love others. We help, we give, we support, and we accommodate others.

But maybe we need to learn to love ourselves as well with clarity, acceptance, and the knowledge that we are not so different from each other.

After all, we each want happiness, peace, and love in our lives.

Loving affirmation begins within each of us.

Give yourself the space and grace to mess up and try again.
It’s the only way we learn.

Soften your fears and accept yourself.

We are all the same.

We are wired to love

A deep sense of love and belonging is an irreducible need of all people. We are biologically, cognitively, physically and spiritually wired to love, to be loved, and to belong.

When those needs are not met, we don’t function as we were meant to. We break. We fall apart. We numb. We ache. We hurt others. We get sick.

Choose to love the one you’re with

Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the BRAVEST thing we will ever do. So learn to love yourself like no one else will ever do it better. Because, no one will.

When we can master the way we love ourselves, only then are we able to seek external love.

Remember this:

Loving yourself is the first step in loving someone else.
