A lesson from trees
I love trees, especially big tall trees. Every time I look at trees, they make me think and show me life. The most valued teaching I learnt from a tree is how lovely it is to let the dead things (leaves) go in order for new life to begin.
One of the hardest lessons in life is letting go.
Whether it’s guilt, anger, love, loss or betrayal. As I always say, change is never easy.
We fight to hold on and we fight harder to let go.
Letting go has nothing to do with “quitting”. Ask yourself , “Am I sticking it out or am I staying stuck?” The truth is, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realise that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.
Sometimes you just have to turn the page to realise there is more to your book of life than the page you’re stuck on.
Stop being afraid to move on.
Turn the page and close the chapter of hurt and pain, never revisit it again. It’s time to get what your life deserves, and move on from the things that don’t deserve you.
Don’t spend your days trying to correct your past or justify history.
When you let go, you’re creating space for something better.
